Thanks for dropping by.

Well, I guess you want to know a little about the person behind this blog (or maybe you just hit the “about” button by accident.) But since you’re here, I might as well tell you about me.

I’m Hope and this is my blog. I’m a mother as you probably know.  I’ve got two kids, my daughter was born in 2003 and my son was born in 2007. They’re both very stubborn (having me as their Mum, it’ll be a surprise if they’re not). But, I’m very proud of them. I think they’re fabulous and the most wonderful beings in the world. I’ve also got a wonderful husband who makes sure I eat cooked breakfast every morning. I think he does it to make sure I’m sweet tempered all day.

My life is nothing exciting, so I pretend that it is. When people ask me how I am, I say “I’m extremely busy.” And they nod and say, “That’s always the same for most mums, blah, blah, blah…” Then I get home and sit in front of the computer or stare at the wall and think what to write. I do it almost everyday.

The most exciting thing that happened in my life (apart from meeting my husband) was when I was 8 year old and rebels came in our house and put a gun over our head. After that, they had coffee with us.

I’m not a doting mother and I definitely won’t win the “Mother of the Year” award. But I try my best. One thing I am very sure of, there’s lots of laughter in my family and that’s the most important thing.

I hope you haven’t come by expecting to learn great parenting techniques from me, because I tell you now, I don’t know much and what works for me may not work for you. But hey, I hope you’ll enjoy my musings and if you want to learn from them, feel free to do so.
